How to get to the Refugee Hostel
For safety reasons the address of our Refugee Hostel remains confidential.
- The New Zealand Immigration Service at the airport can give you our physical address
- or you can contact the Auckland Refugee Hostel, during working hours. Phone: (09) 3787434
Please be aware that the Auckland Refugee Hostel does not pay for transport.
Transport Options (NZ$)
- Taxi - Cost's about $50.00
- AirBus - to Britomart Transport Centre (Downtown). $15 per person. Leaves every 20 minutes to 30 minutes
- Bus - to Hostel (Chalmers Reserve)Cost $4.00 per person - 3 stages - From Britomart Downtown, Urban Express No. 198/199. Every hour - 40 minutes passed the hour up to 1.40pm and after 5.45pm - From Victoria St. Midtown (outside Whitcoulls) Stage Coach No 233 - every 20 to 30 minutes.
- Train - Britomart to Avondale Train Station, cost $3.30 per person - 10 minute walk.
